RAW BEAUTY MISSION FOR CHRISTMAS- The Giving Tree Organization

For Raw Beauty's first Christmas, we are going to be helping the children of The Giving Tree Outreach Program. We will be sponsoring 2 small children and a teenager this year. We will be providing them with gift certificates and toys to help warm up their Christmas Season.

Shop online from Monday, November 28th-Friday, December 16th. Raw Beauty will be adding an additional $1 to put towards a gift for a child at the Giving Tree.
We have already purchased gifts for our 3 sponsored children, but, with your online purchases, we can help to give to other children in need at the Giving Tree. We will be taking pictures of the gifts that are going to these children and will show you them in our last newsletter of December. Let's make a difference for these children...together!

The Giving Tree's Mission: The mission of The G.T. Outreach Program, aka The Giving Tree and The Grace Home, is to support and improve the quality of life for children, families, elderly and disabled individuals.

The Giving Tree is a faith-based organization committed to being an instrument in breaking the cycle of poverty, homelessness, and abuse in this community of disadvantaged and underserved individuals. This is accomplished through distribution of hot meals, food boxes, clothing, tutoring mentoring, transportation, referrals, and providing a residence for homeless and transitional children to allow them an opportunity to experience a secure and enduring family home.

We would like to Thank all of you who attended our booth at the Festival of Lights this year on Saturday, November 26th. This was a wonderful event for us. We met many other crafters who have amazing products, wonderful personalities and great enthusiasm for the business.
We were so excited to meet all of you who attended this year. We received some fabulous feedback on our items and we have a lot more subscribers to our Raw Girls newsletter.

Oooh La La-Cranberry Mousse Recipe

Cranberry Mousse Recipe
About 20 minutes Prep Time
Makes about 12 (1/2 cup) servings
This is a 2 Step Recipe

Ingredients for Step 1:
1/2 an 8 oz package of softened cream cheese
2 tbs sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup frozen cranberry juice concentrate, thawed
1-16 oz can of whole cranberry sauce

Ingredients for Step 2:
1 cup fresh cranberries
1/3 cup sugar
2 tbs water

Recipe for Step 1:
In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese with an electric mixer on med speed for about 30 seconds. Beat in sugar and vanilla until smooth. Slowly add cranberry concentrate, beating until very smooth. In a small bowl, stir the whole cranberry sauce to remove any lumps and set aside.

In a chilled large mixing bowl, beat whipping cream with an electric mixer on low to med speed until soft peaks form. Fold about half the cranberry sauce and half the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until combined. Fold in the remaining cranberry sauce and whipped cream.

Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate up to 24 hours (stir before serving if chilled). To serve, sppon fluff into a large serving bowl and spoon topping (step 2 recipe) on to just before serving.

Recipe for Step 2 (Topping):
In a medium skillet, combine 1 cup fresh cranberries, 1/3 cup sugar and 2 tbs water. Cook and stir over med heat until sugar is dissolved and cranberries just begin to pop. Remove from heat. Cover and chill until serving time.

Raw Beauty Reaches Out Through The Project Angel Food Organization

We cannot tell you how honored we are to be apart of the Project Angel Food Fundraising Event this year. Project Angel Food Cooks and Delivers over 1200 meals per day to families who are struggling with HIV/AIDS and other serious illnesses. Raw Beauty has generously donated $1400 worth of Raw Beauty products to help raise money for this wonderful cause.

The Event "Shop in The Name of Love" is going to be held November 30th- December 5th at the Barker Hanger Airport in Santa Monica, California. One of Project Angel Food's client profiles touched our hearts. Sharon has been receiving meals and nutritional assistance from Project Angel Food for over two years. Her chronic illness was beginning to interfere with her ability to care for her children, Janayn, 15 and Muneer, 11. "I didn't want to burden my children and make them grow up too quickly by giving them the responsibility of cooking because I was too sick to cook," Sharon says. She asserts that the nutritional components of Project Angel Food meals, specifically designed for each client, make all the difference. Big fans of our frozen meals, Sharon and her family enjoy the flexibility of once-a-week delivery and the security of knowing that if she is sick, there are nutritional meals ready to be cooked in the freezer.

We have had her since she was a baby...and she will not be eaten this Thanksgiving. We love this girl!! We are not farmers by any means, but it has been fun raising a turkey and 3 chickens. Especially for our little ones to watch them grow and take care of.

Since the time that I was about 15 years old, I have always colored my own hair. My mother was (and still is) and professional stylist and knows what she is doing! I have learned from my mother over the years what to look for and what to stay away from when choosing a good color for my hair.

Loreal has come out with this WONDERFUL hair coloring system called Couleur Experte. Couleur Experte is a 2 step system....color your hair and then highlight. If you want to save tons of money and do your hair at home, this is the product to use. It costs about 1/4 of what you would pay if you went to a salon.

You can wear it all day and not have to worry about blending later in the day because you have those darn crease lines on your lids. They produce a variety of colors for different skin types. Raw Beauty Bath Sacks are my personal FAVORITE. These sacks are sooo moisturizing. Your skin will feel so smooth and healthy and smell so darn good.

What could be better than bathing in oatmeal, milk and hot apple pie? These sacks come filled with essential ingredients that will leave your skin soft, smooth and smelling temptingly tasty. We have added European Spa Salt to polish skin and remove toxins. Milk powder and Cocoa Butter to moisture and soften skin. Collodial Oatmeal is added to protect and soothe skin. Bathing with this sack will leave your skin smelling sweet as pie. Directions: Soak bag in warm water. Rub bag all over skin until contents are gone and then wash off. Dispose of sack when done. For bath use: Drop bag into bath water and then when contents are gone, dispose of sack. Skin will be smooth, soft, polished and smell irresistable.

Cappuccino Cheesecake Recipe For the Holidays

Tis' The Season for Yummy Desserts...and have we got the yummiest recipe for you! As you may know, I went to culinary school back in the day. One of my favorite dessert recipes was this Cappuccino Cheesecake. I am very picky about my cheesecake also, because I do not like it to be too rich (then I don't get to enjoy it). This recipe will knock your socks off with it's wonderful flavoring. Not too rich, but oh so delightful.
1-1/4 Cups Graham Cracker Crumbs
1/4 cups brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
4 ounces butter, melted
12 ounces cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/3 cup espresso, strong brewedInstructions: Prepare crust by combining the crumbs, brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 10" springform pan. Beat the creamcheese and sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Beat in the espresso, beating until smooth. Pour filling onto the crust. Bake 35 minutes at 375 degrees. Cool Overnight. Serve with whipped cream topped with cinnamon and cocoa powder (if desired).
